Iris of Algiers: Behind the Design

The Iris of Algiers exists far beyond its name.

Botanically, it belongs to the Iris unguicularis species, a plant native to Algeria and, more broadly, North Africa. Its purple flowers, marked with white and yellow at the center, give it an instantly recognizable presence.

It is a modest flower in size, yet difficult to forget once you have seen it.

At DZ Nation, the idea was not to turn the Iris of Algiers into a purely decorative motif.
